BUSINESSMAN ARRESTED FOR ATTEMPTING TO USE HIS
DAUGHTER FOR MONEY RITUALS.
Personnel of the Ghana Police Service have arrested a
42-year-old businessman, Evans Oppong, a resident of Fise near Amasaman, for
allegedly attempting to use his 11-year-old daughter for money rituals.
The incident, which took place at Oyibi Kom in Accra
on Thursday, June 2, 2022, was recorded by an unknown person and circulated on
social media.
In the said video, a man named Nana Adu Boafo Junior,
who claimed to be herbalist and military personnel, narrated how the incident
happened.
According to him, Evans Oppong moved from Abroad to
Ghana for the money rituals. Unfortunately, luck eluded him because he went to
the wrong place.
He indicated that Evans Oppong claimed he had twelve
kids, and due to his current financial predicaments, he wanted to use two of
his kids for the money ritual.
In the video, Nana Adu Boafo Jnr said herbalists are
not money ritualists as occasioned in Nigerian and Ghanaian movies.
“I am a military man; I am a disciplined man. I want
to prove to the whole world that herbalists are not murderers or money
ritualists. This man is bad! We cannot live in the same community with this
kind of man. He is a threat to our society.” He opined.
The little girl was picked up from school by the
father for the alleged money ritual.
